IAAF Council to meet in Osaka

Monte-Carlo - The next IAAF Council Meeting takes place in Osaka, Japan, on 28/29 March 2006 in the Hotel New Otani. The city will be the host to the next edition of the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in 2007.

2006 IAAF Race Walking Challenge – the road to La Coruna begins

Russia women retain title

Russia retained the trophy they won two years ago at the European Athletics Indoor Cup in Liévin on Sunday as they dominated the results with 69 points. It was not quite the overwhelming performance they had produced in 2004, with wins in eight of the nine events. Still, with five wins and two second places, the Russians’ margin ahead of the 53 points amassed by the second place team from Poland was a clear indicator of superiority.
