18.09.2005 The 1st edition of the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix was held in China yesterday. Russian athletes took first places in two events. Yelena Isinbaeva won easily the women’s pole vault and Viacheslav Voronin was unbeatable in the men’s high jump.

Oleg Kharitonov wins European Champion 100K
13.09.2005 Oleg Kharitonov won the IAU European Championship 100K 2005 in Winschoten (Netherlands), clocking 6:30:31. Russian men team topped the medal table with 20:21:40.

World Athletics Final, Day 1
10.09.2005 Competitions of Day 1 of the 3rd World Athletics Final were held in Monaco yesterday. The Number 1 in the women’s long jump ranking Tatiana Kotova won her event with 6.83 meters. It was the only one win gained by a Russian athlete.

09.09.2005 Monte Carlo - The IAAF World Athletics Final press conference took place today at 3pm at the Fairmont Hotel, the competition headquarters, in Monaco. The four newly crowned World champions from Helsinki who attended the press conference were Kajsa Bergqvist (SWE), Justin Gatlin (USA), Yelena Isinbayeva (RUS) and Adam Nelson (USA).

05.09.2005 The first edition of the DecaNation, a team competition which took place at the Stade Charléty in Paris, last Saturday 3 September was won by a team of Russia. Russia scored a total of 127 points to finish ahead of France (120 points) and Poland (110 points).

01.09.2005 Aleksandr Ivanov and Yulia Guschina won their events at 41 Palio Citta della Quercia, an EAA meeting, held yesterday in Italian city of Rovereto. Aleksandr achieved 81.84m in the javelin throw and Yulia clocked 23.10 sec in the 200m.
