Yepishin and Osovnikar to meet in Moscow

Russia’s 60m indoor and 100m outdoor record holder Andrey Yepishin will compete at 2007 Russian Winter, an IAAF Indoor Permit meeting on 29 January in Moscow. He was the silver medalist at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow and the European Championships in Gothenburg setting two national records.

Isinbayeva and Lebedeva in 2006 Russian athletes Top 10

Cubans to compete in Moscow

The spectators will see at the 2007 Russian Winter many world-famous athletes from Cuba on 28 January, including Athens 2004 medalist Anier Garcia, World silver medalist Yargelis Savigne (to compete in the long jump in Moscow) and a triple jumper and World medalist Yoandri Betanzos.

Denisova’s 2:27 course record headlines in Honolulu

Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - There's an old adage that says that blondes have more fun, and that was definitely the case at yesterday's Honolulu Marathon. Lyubov Denisova of Russia, her long blonde ponytail saturated by the tropical humidity, overwhelmed a strong women's field to run the fastest-ever marathon by a woman in this event's 34-year history. Denisova, 35, crossed the finish line in 2:27:19, surpassing compatriot Lyubov Morgunova's 2004 record by 14 seconds.
