Ukhov flies to 2.35 in Chelyabinsk

Ivan Ukhov improved his season best in the men’s high ump by 1cm at 26th Yuriy Lukashevich Memorial held on 9 January in Chelyabinsk.
He cleared 2.35m. Ivan achieved his previous result of 2.34m in Yekaterinburg two weeks ago. Andrey Silnov flied to 2.30m and placed second, and Aleksandr Shustov was third with 2.24.

Yekaterina Savchenko won the women’s high jump with 1.94m. Moldavia’s Inna Gliznutsa was second with 1.91m. The third place was shared by Aleksandra Shamsutdinova and YekaterinaKuntsevich – 1.87.

In the men’s pole vault the winner was Artem Kuptsov clearing 5.50m. Dmitriy Starodubtsev achieved the same mark placing second. Atrem’s brother Dmitriy was third with 5.40
