Russian Winter close at hand

17th Russian Winter, an IAAF Indoor meeting, starts the World indoor season on 27 January, which ends at the 12th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Valencia on 7-9 March. There are 9 IAAF Indoor meetings in 7 European countries over the season.
The Russian Winter was on the 5 place on the IAAF World indoor meeting rankings, repeating the Rankings best result.
On 27 January, Moscow will host athletes from 20 countries of the World. They will compete in 13 events: the women’s 60m, 200m, 600ma and 1 mile, the men’s 60m, 400m and 800m, the women’s and men’s 60mH and Long jump and the men’s High jump and Pole vault.
There are in the lineup Olympic Champion Yuriy Borzakovskiy, World and areas champions and record holders Yuliya Fomenko (Chizhenko), Yelena Soboleva, Wilfred Bungei (Kenya), Yuriy Krimarenko (Ukraine), Yaroslav Rybakov, Vyacheslav Voronin, Andrey Silnov, Tatyana Kotova, Monique Hennagan (USA), Tianna Madison (USA), Olusoji Fasuba (Nigeria), Stanislavs Olijars (Latvia). Ecker Danny (Germany), Jeff Hartwig (USA), Matic Osovnikar (Slovenia), Kabelo Kgosiemang (Botswana), Jesse Williams (USA), Greg Nickson (USA), Rogerio Bispo (Brasil) and Sergey Demidyuk (Ukraine) are in the lineup too.
The crowd will see exciting competitions. There is no doubt that jump events will take the most attention, because there were in the mind the last year’s edition amazing results of Ivan Ukhov in the men’s jump and Tatyana Lebedeva in the women’s long jump.
The sprint events will electrify the spectators from the beginning till the end of the meeting. There are high results to look forward by Olusoji Fasuba, Matic Osovnikar, Andrey Yepishin, Mikhail Yegorychev, Yevgeniya Polyakova, Stanislavs Olijars, Sergey Demidyuk, Yevgeniy Borisov, Aleksandra Antonova and Mariya Koroteyeva.
The organizers are expecting amazing acts over the middle distances. Yuriy Borzakovskiy, Wilfred Bungei and Ali Belal Mansoor (Bahrain) will meet in the men’s 800m, and Yuliya Fomenko and Yelena Soboleva will fight in the women’s 1 Mile
