Bogdanova and Pogorelov leads World season

Anna Bogdanova and Aleksandr Pogorelov won their events at the Russian Indoor Combined Events Championships setting World season bests. Bogdanova scored 4762 points in the women’s pentathlon, and Pogorelov scored 6136 points in the men’s heptathlon. With such results, they have good chances to go to Valencia at the World Indoor Championships.
Olga Kurban placed second with 4617 points in the pentathlon; Marina Goncharova was third scoring 4522. In the heptathlon, Mikhail Logvinenko was second with 6129 points. Aleksey Sysoyev scored just 10 point worse than Logvinenko placing third (6119).
