First 2008 Russian Champions

The 2008 Russian Indoor Championships have started in Moscow today and will end on Sunday. In the women’s 60m, Yevgeniya Polyakova set a World season best of 7.09sec. Andrey Yepishin won the men’s 60m with 6.64sec.
Sergey Ivanov and Yelena Zadorozhnaya became the champions over the 5000m clocking 13.46,63 and 15.32,82 correspondingly.
Aleksandra Antonova won the women’s 60mH clocking 7.98sec.
Dmitriy Bogdanov was unbeatable over the men’s 800 m. He achieved 1:46.24.
Pavel Sofin won the men’s Shot Put achieving 20.11m.
In the women’s 800 m heats, there were achieved two sub-2-minutes results. Yelena Soboleva clocked 1:59.56 and Natalya Ignatova clocked 1:59.67.
