Following Vlasic and Fasuba, Kenyan stars to come in Zhukovsky

Some World Athletics stars have confirmed their participation in 50th Znamensky Memorial, a European Premium Outdoor Meeting, in Zhukovsky on 15 June. Famous Kenyan athletes Moses Mosop and Leonard Komon will run 5000m, Georgiy and Serafim Znamensky’s favorite event.
Moses Mosop was the 10000m bronze medalist at the 2005 World championships and second at the 2007 World Cross Country Championships. His personal best over the 5000m is 12:54.46. Leonard Komon, 20, was second at this year’s World Cross Country Championships. The favorites are challenged by the meeting organizers to clock a sub-13 minutes time.

The line-up also includes one of European strongest sprinters Matic Osovnikar from Slovenia, World class sprinters Ivet Lalova and Terdzhan Naimova from Bulgaria, Jeanette Kwakye and Rikki Fifton from Great Britain and Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie from Bahamas.
