Tallinn’s season debuts and Lebedeva’s next win

Olympic and World Champion Tatyana Lebedeva continued to compete in the women’s long jump, after winning in the women’s triple jump in Dessau. She won the event achieving 6.65cm at the Tallinn 2008 meeting held in Estonian capital yesterday. Irina Simagina with 6.56 placed second.
Gulfiya Khanafeyeva, in her season first meeting, placed third in the women’s hammer throw with 70.82 giving Ivana Brkljacic of Coatia to win (73,62) and Stephanie Falzon of France to place second (71.68).

Natalya Rusakova won two events. She clocked 11.59sec in the women’s 100m (-2.6) and 23.31sec in the women’s 200m (-0.1).

There were several competitors of the 50th Znamensky Memorial on 15 June including Andrus Varnik of Estonia, who placed second in the men’s javelin throw with 81.11m, and his compatriot Monika Aava, who won the women’s javelin throw with 58.98m.

Preston Perry (USA) ran up over the men’s 100m clocking 10.25sec and giving Mark Burns (Trinidad and Tobago) to win clocking 10.22sec.
