13.06.2008

Many attractive competitions can be seen at the 50th Znamensky Memorial in Zhukovsky on 15 June. There are, in our opinion, main rivals in mens some events of the meeting.

There was added the former World Champion Kim Collins of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the lineup including World Indoor Champion Olusoji Fasuba of Nigeria and Asian Champion Samuel Francis of Qatar. Collins won at a meeting in Moscow on 10 June clocking 10.10 sec and received an invitation to the meeting in Zhukovsky. All of them have a season best of 10.10, and their personal bests are sub-10 seconds. European Championships Medalists Andrey Yepishin of Russian and Matic Osovnikar of Slovenia (last year winner in Zhukovsky) are the main rivals of the leaders.

A contest between Olympic medalist Vadims Vasilevskis from Latvia, former World Champion and Russian record holder Sergey Makarov and Igor Janik from Poland result in marks much longer 80m.
