Yekaterina Khoroshikh – World leader and first winner of Znamenski memorial.

The Znamenski Memorial has started in Russia’s city of Kazan. The event consists of two days of competitions, Russian competitions on first day and an IAAF Grand Prix II meeting on second one. Yekaterina Khoroshikh became the first winner of the Memorial.
Yekaterina Khoroshikh improved her World leading mark in the women’s hammer throw to 74.31 meters, having set a meeting record. Olympic champion Olga Kuzenkova placed second with 72.63. Khoroshikh achieved her best result on her sixth attempt, before which Kuzenkova was the leader. Tatiana Lysenko was third with 71.24m.
