German Skurygin passes away

Famous Russian athlete German Skurygin died on 27 to 28 November night. His heart stopped, said his trainer Leonid Vakhrushev.
Skurygin, 46, had won silver medals at the 2003 World Championships in Paris and the 2002 World Cup, and won the 2003 European Cup in the men’s 50km RW.
Russian Athletics offers its condolences to German Skurygin’s family and friends.
