Pyrek and Rogowska aimed at Torino

Monika Pyrek won the women’s pole vault with a European season best of 4.71m at the Pedro’s Cup in Bydgoszcz. Anna Rogowska placed second with the same result.
They are among main contenders for a Torino’s gold medal. In Russia, Yuliya Golubchikova is the season leader with 4.70m.
Tatyana Polnova placed 6th with 4.31.
Christian Cantwell of the USA won the men’s shot put achieving 21.47.
