Jelimo cancels indoor season

Olympic 800 m winner Pamela Jelimo cancelled her planned short indoor season because of beeing behind her plans in preparation.
All is now set towards the the summer with main goal to be succesfull at World Championships in Berlin. She was suppose to run mile in Birmingham and 1000 m in Praha. Now the British organisers changed the event to a 1500 m.

In Praha the 1000 m was cancelled and instead a 1000 m for men will be organised with Sudanese world junior champion Abubaker Kaki trying for world indoor record. He already had one shot in Stuttgart (world leading 2:16.23) at the 2:14.96 of Wilson Kipketer from 2000.

And another one will follow on Wednesday in Stockholm. In Prague 02 arena the 800 m will remain for men with top two from Beijing Games Wilfred Bungei and current world leader Ahmed Ismail beeing the headliners. Also running will be Kenyan Boaz Lalang who lost in Dusseldorf to Ismail but beat Borzakovskiy.
