Doucoure faces top French jumpers

60m hurdles European indoor champion, Ladji Doucoure faced top French jumpers Karl Taillepierre and Kafetien Gomis in a friendly competition with shorter run-ups Saturday evening in Saint-Malo.
Taillepierre won the event with 7.25m, ahead of Gomis (7.23m), while Doucoure, who has a personal best of 7.82m from 2001, but hasn’t jumped for 7 years was a little bit disappointed to stay short of 7m (6.95m).
Doucoure, who is itching to do a decathlon at the end of the season, will head to Qatar from April 13 to 23 to prepare for the summer season, L’Equipe informs.
