Silnov completed a training camp

Olympic high jump champion and reigning European title holder Russian Andrey Silnov completed a training camp in Tsachkadzor, Armenia.
That was the site where Robert Emmian jumped still valid European record 886 back in 1987. He was satisfied with the camp at 1800 m altitude after he was not jumping during the indoor season. In the group of coach Yevgeniy Zagorulko were also Eduard Malchenko, Torino fourth placer Aleksandr Shustov and world and Olympic medalist Anna Chicherova.
Silnov had also a nice visit, his girlfriend Yekaterina Lobysheva, who is world-class speed skater. Of course permitted by the coach. Silnov admitted he tried but only for once with the skates. His main aim of course the world championships in Berlin, the planning of the season is not yet known, all depends how soon he will achieve a reasonable shape to compete. He added that not only worlds gold but also the world record is his main motivation.
