Irina Mikitenko satisfied before London

World Marathons Major winner Irina Mikitenko was satisfied with her test before London Marathon at 10 km Easter Run in Paderborn as she clocked 31:24 at 10 km.
She missed the course record of Kenyan Linah Cheruyiot since 2002 only by 5 seconds (31:19). “Today my aim was only to win, I was not paying too much attention to the time, I was thinking that 31:30 should be possible, so I must be satisfied,” said Mikitenko who came from her training camp in Kirgizstan only five days before.
Former track world champion Sally Barsosio of Kenya was second in 32:24. Another German win for Susanne Hahn in Half-marathon in 1:13:20 in warm weather. She runs Dusseldorf marathon early May. In men section Kenyan wins for Stephen Koech (1:02:35) and Peter Kamais (28:16). In total 8000 runners participated.
