Bolt to London

21.04.2009 World

The greatest star of the sport currently Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt confirmed his second of three-four planned appearances this summer in Europe in the period after Jamaican Trials.

After Paris Golden League meet on July 17 he will be also at The Aviva London Grand Prix for a 100 m race on July 24. “I’m definitely looking forward to running in London at the Aviva London Grand Prix,” said Bolt. “London is a great meet and the fans there really get behind everyone. I normally base myself there during the summer so it is like a second home.

As usual there will be strong competition but I guess that’s what I’ll need ahead of the World Championships,” he was quoted. It will be his first 100 m on UK territory as he runs 150 m on the street in Manchester in May. Bolt is planning to compete on May 2 in Kingston then in Manchester and in June in Toronto at the Festival of Excellence Meeting before the Jamaican Trials.
