Summer without Yipsi Moreno

Women hammer scene will be this summer without Cuban world and olympic medalist Yipsi Moreno. Exactly in August when the world championships will be held, she expects a baby (son).
She is world champion 2001 and 2003 and won silver in 2005 and 2007. With coach Eladio Hernandez they are planning to return next year in time and prepare for Olympic Games 2012 in London. In Beijing she won silver as in Athens 2004 and was also fourth in Sydney 2000. Her continental record 76.62 comes from Zagreb Grand Prix Meeting in last year.
