Vlasic jumps at home
High Jump world champion Blanka Vlasic jumps on Saturday at home meet in Split.
Last Friday she cleared 205 in Doha, her best start into the season ever and tried at 210 world record height. This will be her second meet of the summer season and competing against will be Czech indoor record holder Barbora Lalakova and Ukrainian Viktoriya Dobrynska. Vlasic won this competition in last two years with two metres mark – 200 in 2007 and 201 in 2008.
In other events men shout put will see Bosnian Hamza Alic and best home putter Nedzad Mulabegovic fighting for World Championships standards. Interestingly the main rival of Vlasic, German Ariane Friedrich will start her season during the weekend at German University Championships in Darmstadt.
