Onyia positive at WAF
The Spanish hurdler Josephine Onyia was tested positive after her 12.54 victory at the IAAF World athletics final in Stuttgart on September 13th last year.
Two days before and two days later Onyia was tested negative which leads some people to think that the reason might be ‚contaminated meat‘. In her sample from the race clenbuterol was found. Spanish media are informing for first time about where the positive test came from. The case is now with CAS in the dispute between IAAF and Spanish Athletics Federation. If confirmed the WAF win (and the prize money for that 30 000 USD) will go to initially second Lolo Jones.
