Isinbayeva starts battle for Jackpot

Yelena Isinbayeva easily won the women’s pole vault at the ISTAF 2009 in Berlin setting a World season best of 4.83 and becoming one of the Golden League Jackpot contenders.
The Olympic 2-time champion started at 4.68m and cleared the high at her first attempt. After she cleared 4.83 and became the season leader. Yelena attempted to clear 4.93 as well. European Indoor Champion Yuliya Golubchikova placed sixth with 4.58, and Aleksandra Kiryashova was eighth with 4.43.
Yuliya Gushchina finished third in the women’s 400m clocking 51.10. Tatyana Firova was sixth – 52.36. Denis Alekseyev was fifth in the men’s 400m with 46.33.
