Yekaterina Kostetskaya finished second in the women’s 800m at the 1st European Team Championships in Leiria. She clocked 1:59.43. The winner was Yuliya Krevsun of Ukraine with 1:58.62.
After the finish, Yekaterina said, that she is happy but she was nervous before the race because all runners had to start on the same line. “I took a good position and controlled the run”, she added. “I did my job and will go to bathe in the sun”.
