Dynamics of Znamensky Memorial


The Znamensky Memorial, a European Athletics Outdoor Premium Meeting, will be held on 5 July in Zhukovskiy (40 km southeast of Moscow), where one of the favorites will certainly be Yuliya Pechonkina.

Yuliya managed to overcome many problems with her health and she is preparing to the outdoor season according to her trainer Valentin Maslakov. Her first start will be at the Znamensky Memorial where she faces with Anastasiya Rabchenyuk of Ukraine (4th place at Beijing Olympics), 2009 IAAF Grand Prix meetings winner and prize winner Josanne Lucas of Trinidad and Tobago, one of the Africa’s best runners Kou Luogon of Liberia.

The women’s 400 mH is scheduled first in the timetable and should give a special dynamics to the meeting according to the organizers idea, because the meeting duration will be only 2 hours. The timetable consists of 14 event including 3 national ones.
