Bolt completes the double

Oympic Champion Usain Bolt completed the sprint double as expected for the second season at Jamaican Championships with 20.25 (-2.4, in heat 20.75, -3.6) 200 m win.

Another Beijing gold medalist Veronica Campbell-Brown ran home with the women’s 200m dash clocking years third fastest 22.40 (-1.1:). Both 200 m finals highlighted the third and final day of Jamaica’s Track and Field Championships at the National Stadium.

Bolt beat Steve Mullings who placed second in 20.40 and Marvin Anderson third in 20.63 ahead of young Ramone McKenzie 20.68 and Yohan Blake 20.85.

„I’m feeling alright,“ was Bolt’s reaction after the race. „I’m a little bit tired because I am not really in the best shape of my life, but I’m OK,“ he added. „There were a lot of fast guys behind me so I ran the corner pretty hard, came off, saw where I was and shut it down,“ explained Bolt of his performance.
