Collins finishes, Pechonkina doesn’t

05.07.2009

Yuliya Pechonkina didn’t finish in the women’s 400mH at the Znamensky Memorial today. She competed for the first time after a year-long layoff because of an injury.

Yuliya traditionally started fast, but lost her pace before the 8th hurdle and stopped before the last one. Anna Titimets won the race clocking 56.72.

2003 World Champion Kim Collins of Saint Kitts and Nevis won the men’s 100m clocking 10.27 and leaving his rivals far behind. Matic Osovnicar of Slovenia finished second with 10.54, and Aleksandr Volkov was third in 10.63.
