Winning final for Borzakovskiy

2004 Olympic Champion Yuriy Borzakovskiy finished the Znamensky Memorial in Zhukovskiy with a deafening howl of the crowd winning the men’s 800m in 1:46.48.
Borzakovskiy who won three meetings during last 5 days imitated his tactics for the Worlds Championships in Berlin. Yuriy Koldin finished second clocking 1:47.55. Ruben Bett of Kenya was third - 1:47.73.
Anna Chicherova won the women’s high jump clearing 1.91. She beat Irina Gordeyeva on second by attempts. Aleksandra Shamsutdinova who will compete at the European U23 Championships placed third with 1.88.
Anna Chicherova wasn’t satisfied with her result. She said she could jump higher but she had faults with her technique.
