Russian team wins at Universiade
Russian athletics team placed first in the medal standings of the 25th Universiade in Belgrade taking 2 medals on the last day of the competitions.
The Men’s Relay team consisting of Maksim Mokrousov, Ivan Teplykh, Roman Smirnov and Konstantin Petryashov won the 4x100m clocking 39.21.
The women’s team (Yekaterina Voronenkova, Aleksandra Zaytseva, Nadezhda Sozontova and Yekaterina Vukolova) finished second in the women’s 4x400 clocking 3:34.45.
Russian athletes took 7 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals. Australia placed second with 10 (4-1-5) and Japan was third – 12 (3-6-3).
