Shumkina first, Shemyakina third

Yelena Shumkina won the women’s 20kmRW at the European U23 Athletics Championships in Kaunas. Tatyana Shemyakina finished third.
Shumkina, who was second at the 2008 European Junior Championships, clocked 1:33.05, and Shemyakina (2007 European U23 Champion, Osaka silver medalist) clocked 1:34.13 after Zuzana Schindlerova of Czech Republic with 1:33.42.
