German World junior champion David Storl again improved the world junior record in shot put (6 kg) with 22.73 in fifth attempt.
He bettered his previous mark by 39 cm. Also Udo Beyer former olympic winner witnessed his result at the meeting in Osterode. Storl achieved the previous mark 22.34 in Mannheim on June 13. The world of athletics is still waiting on first senior track world record, only road records have been achieved so far in 2009. IAAF ratified recently the 27:01 of Micah Kogo at the 10 km on the road in Brunssum (March 29).
