Meet record for Kanter

Spitzenleichtathletik EA Premium Meeting registered two meet records.

Olympic winner Gerd Kanter achieved new one in discus with 67.42 (over Hungarian Zoltan Kovago 65.27) and remains unbeaten since last year. Heptathlon olympic silver winner Hyleas Fountain equalled the meet record with 689 (+0.6) in long jump (also her PB).

The Diamond jackpot went to Ryan Brathwaite of Barbados who clocked 13.23 (-0.1) at 110 m hurdles (also new NR). Second Joel Brown achieved season best 13.27 (he also got 200 m PB 20.54) over Dexter Faulk (13.29). Ivory Williams confirmed his windy sub 10 from Athens with legal 10.03 (0.0) win ahead of Jamaican Steve Mullings (10.16). US World medalist Wallace Spearmon won the 200 m in 20.31 (-0.3) and Virgin Islands Tabarie Henry was the best at 400 m (45.76).

Brazilian Fabiano Pecanha won the 800 m (1:46.01) with Hungarian Tamas Kazi second (1:46.17). Great duel at 400 m hurdles as Jamaican Isa Phillips continues in winning with 48.66 with US Michael Tinsley second (48.69), best European David Greene (48.78) and Javier Culson of Puerto-Rico (49.12). In women sprints Gloria Asumnu won the 100 m (11.22 over Lauryn Williams 11.23).

Australian olympic medalist Sally McLellan was the best at 100 m hurdles (12.72, Lolo Jones second 12.92 and Hyleas Fountain won the second race 13.12). Briton Lisa Dobriskey won the 1500 m in 4:08.35 and Australian Kim Mickle the javelin (62.09). Romanian Angela Morosanu was the surprise 400 m hurdles winner (54.82) beating world champion Jana Pittman (55.34).
