Pechonkina continues comeback

The second day of the All-Russian Championships in Cheboksary didn’t produce quite the expected highs though results were still very solid (Fri 24).
In Thursday’s qualifying rounds of the women’s 400m Antonina Krivoshapka had established a very good 49.29sec, a new U23 national record but in Friday’s final while she won again in brilliant fashion her time was slightly slower - 49.71 sec. But it was a high quality race with Anastasija Kapachinskaya second in 49.97. The third place was taken by Lyudmila Litvinova - 50.27.
