Isinayeva shares $1 million Jackpot

Yelena Isinbayeva, Sanya Richards and Kenenisa Bekele shared the $1 Million IAAF Golden League Jackpot after winning at the Memorial Van Damme in Brussels.
Isinbayeva who had set the new WR of 5.06 a week earlier cleared in the women’s pole vault 4.70 on her first attempt and leaded the competition. Poland’s Monika Pyrek and Germany’s Silke Spiegelburg had cleared 4.70 on their second attempts, and Brazil’s Fabiana Murer on her third. Isinbayeva passed next 4.75, and Pyrek, Spiegelburg and Murer couldn’t clear it. As the winner Isinbayeva did attempted to cleared 5.07 but unsuccessful. Aleksandra Kiryashova was 7th with 4.40.
Tatyana Firova finished 4th in the women’s 400m clocking 50.80, and Antonina Krivoshapla was 6th – 51.05.
Mariya Savinova finished third in the women’s 800m clocking 1:59.49. Oksana Zbrozhek finished 7th - 2:00.65. In the men’s same distance, Yuriy Borzakovskiy was 4th - 1:46.88.
Anna Chicherova as the winner Blanka Vlasic of Croatia cleared 2.00 in the women’s high jump placing second. Svetlana Shkolina was 4th – 1.94. Yelena Slesarenko and Irina Gordeyeva could clear 1.85 placing 9th and 11th respectively.
Anna Alminova was 5th in the women’s 2000m in 5:40.99 (PB). Natalya Yevdokimova was 11th - 5:47.34.
