Tatyana Polnova wins in Paris

Russian Athletes took one first, six second and four third places at the DecaNation team match, at which national teams (men and women) compete in the decathlon’s events, in Paris.

Tatyana Polnova won the women’s pole vault clearing 4.55m. Yuriy Koldin (800m), Anna Geflikh (100m), Natalya Antyukh (400m), Yevgeniya Zinurova (800m), Yuliya Kondakova (100mH), Anna Avdeyeva (SP) took 2th places. Pavel Sofin (SP), Bogdan Pishchalnikov (DT), Anna Nazarova (LJ), Svetlana Saykina (DT) were third.

Russian team scored 83 points and placed 4th after USA (136), Germany (105) and France (91).

At the inaugural Pal Nemeth Memorial Hammer Throw competition in Szombathely (HUN), Tatyana Lysenko won the women’s hammer throw achieving 72,79m. Aleksey Zagorny placed third with 79.02 after Krisztian Pars (79.65) and Primoz Kozmus (79.42).
