Montebrun wins with 70.26

Fourth day of athletics at Francophone Games saw French national record holder Manuela Montebrun winning the hammer with games record 70.26 m ahead of Romanian Bianca Perie (67.67).

Other French titles for Gabriella Kouassi in heptathlon (5460) and Vincent Favretto in pole vault (540). Morroco celebrated three golds. Hayat Lambarki won the women´s 400 m hurdles (58.40), Chakir Boujattaoui was the best in men´s 5000 m (13:42.72) and Zaid Laroussi in marathon (2:24:08). Women´s marathon winner was Rwanda´s Epiphane Nyirabarame (2:44:36). Morrocan national record holder in steeple Hanane Ouhaddou lost in finish the battle for gold (10:07.40) to Romania´s Ancuta Bobocel (10:05.01). African Championships medalist Hugo Mamba won the triple jump gold for Cameroon with solid 16.78 (-0.3). In heats Stephane Buckland of Mauritius was the fastest at 200 m with 20.78 (0.0). World finalist Amine Laalou won here already the 1500 m and was the fastest in 800 m heats (1:51.15). The athletics competition will end here on Monday.
