Two-time Olympic games 200m champion, Veronica Campbell-Brown, has been considered for UNESCO ambassadorship, writes TrackAlerts.com.
Her appointment will be made official in Paris next week when the UNESCO executive meet. n her role as an ambassador for Champion of Sport for Peace, Jamaica’s Sport Minister Olivia Grange who made the announcement on Campbell-Brown’s arrival in Jamaica on Thursday, said Jamaica’s queen of the track would be promoting gender equality in sports. “Its phenomenal,” said Campbell-Brown, who said “Minister Grange had applied for it in 2008, but we were just waiting for the right time for me to go ahead of accept the award.”
