Spotakova again Czech Athlete of the Year

Barbora Špotáková was named Czech Athlete of the Year for the third consecutive year at a ceremony on Saturday (7).
In the Czech Federation’s annual poll, the reigning Olympic champion and World record holder received 1274 points out of a possible 1280. The 28-year-old followed up her 2007 World title with a silver medal finish at the World championships in Berlin, and also finished second at the World Athletics Final in Thessaloniki and at the European Team Championships in Leiria.
