Meeting director Alain Blondel explained that in Karlsruhe on January 31 the decision about the bib-number for Ariane Friedrich is not final.
It is a friendly decision taken by the Meeting Director and the concerned athlete and manager and should be understood as fun. It should not be some special pressure on the athlete. It was reported that Friedrich will wear bib 206 which means one cm higher than her indoor best of 205 achieved in Karlsruhe last winter.
