Carmelita Jeter’s “off track quiz”
American Carmelita Jeter last summer became the second fastest sprinter of all-time.
Jeter, who was hampered by hamstring injuries during her junior career, bounced back in 2007 to win bronze in the 100m at the Osaka World Championships, a feat she repeated last summer in Berlin.
However, it was after the World Championships, Jeter stamped her name on the sprint, running 10.67 to take the gold at the World Athletics and rapped up the season at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix with an impressive 10.64 seconds, which took her ahead of Marion Jones (10.65) and only behind Florence Griffith-Joyner’s world record of 10.49.
Carmelita Jeter, two-time World Athletics Final champion, took time out of her busy schedule to take part in trackalerts.com off the track quiz.
