Russian Winter for Yevgeniya Polyakova

15.01.2010

Olympic 4x100 Champion, European 60m Champion Yevgeniya Polyakova told RusAthletics.com about her fear of false starts, rigid track and competition.

I have competed two times from the beginning of the indoor season. I clocked 7.35 in the women’s 60m in Yekaterinburg and later7.39 at the Moscow Cup. I like the Russian Winter and have competed at the meeting many times.

There is a good rigid track in the CSKA arena and I like very much to run here. The Russian Winter is a high class meeting with an accurate organization and comfortable conditions. Good rivals and the home crowd motivate to achieve high results. I represent not only myself, but also my country, so I can’t be beaten.

I want to achieve my PB (7.09) and it will be great if I can improve it. It will be hard to achieve such result at the Russian Winter but I’m training to do it at the 2010 Russian Indoor Champion. I want to be in my best shape for Doha.
