Gibilisco in Germany

Italian former pole vault world champion Giuseppe Gibilisco is in German city Leverkusen preparing for his return to the world level, informs www.leichtathletik.de.
The Italian, who was banned for two years in 2007 but reinstated the next year, made it to the final at the 2008 Olympics and was seventh last year in Berlin. However, Gibilisco now wants more and hopes to connect with the world‘s best vaulters at the world indoor championships in Doha. The long term knee problems that kept him back for over 4 years are finally solved and permit Gibilisco to train full time in Leverkusen. His first competition will be in Cottbus on January 27th.
