Ostapchuk blasts 21.70m Shot Put heave in Mogilev

Mogilev, Belarus - 2008 Olympic bronze medallist Nadzeya Ostapchuk blasted a 21.70m national record in the Shot Put to highlight this weekend’s Belarus national championships.
Ostapchuk’s effort on Friday (12) elevated the 29-year-old to the No. 3 position all-time indoors with the fourth farthest performance.
Ostapchuk, the 2005 World champion, broke her own national indoor mark in the first round when she reached 21.23m. She passed her second attempt, fouled on her third, before hitting the big one in the fourth. She then passed her two remaining attempts.
