Russian Marathon Championships returned to Moscow

The Russian Marathon Championships have been held in Moscow for the first time since 2005. The course lay through Moscow River embankments ending near the Kremlin.
Yuriy Abramov won the men’s title clocking Russian season best of 2:11:38. Maragarita Plaksina clocked won 2:30:13 and won the women’s race. Alyona Samokhvalova finished second in 2:30:50, and Nina Podnebesnova was third - 2:31:36.
