Legendary female sprinter Merlene Ottey is today 50 years old.
Jamaican who is representing and living in Slovenia was still running this indoor season (7.66 at 60 m, last 100 m in 2008 11.60). She still did not announce her retirement and according to the reports from Slovenia she continues in training. Her coach Srdjan Djordjevic said she might compete in summer 2010. During her stellar career which started at Olympic Games 1980 in Moscow she won 29 global medals.
