Olimpiada Ivanova celebrates end of her career

Today, there was a celebration of the end of Olimpiada Ivanova’s race walking career during the Russian Race Walking Championships.
Olimpiada Ivanova has many titles including the 2004 Olympic silver medalist and the 2001 and 2005 World champion. The President of Chuvashia Nikolay Fyodorov took part in the celebration and congratulated Olimpiada.
The boys’ and girls’ races were held after the celebration. Yevgeniy Neustayev won the boys’ 10km clocking 45.24. Nikolayev Malanchev finished second with 45.25 and Yevgeniy Yeldin was third – 45.40. Anna Yermina won the girls’ 5000m with 23.41. Natalya Koployenko was second (23.50) and Olga Nacharkina was third (24.34).
