How to get warm in Russian winter? To win a bike!

A hard frost descended on Moscow can frighten anybody but not athletes and athletics fans. Because the Russian Winter 2006, an IAAF Indoor Permit Meeting, promises to be hot.
All the athletes have confirmed their participation, and if there is no injure all of them will be characters at the Moscow Athletics Performance. The athletes will compete in 12 events and the best of them who can set a World record get a new BMW bike.

The prize was given by Bavaria-M, a Russian Winter partner. The bike will be presented for a World record in any event.

A record is always a joy that often is unexpected for spectators. So a rivalry in the women’s 1000 meters where a world record is more expected promises to be so much better interesting. Main hopes in this event are Russia’s Yuliya Chizhenko, Yelena Soboleva and Irina Vashentseva.
