Cross-country at 2018 Winter Games?

Agencies are informing that IOC said it will study a request by IAAF to include cross-country running at the 2018 Winter Games.
The IOC programme commission will meet this september to examine the proposal. Whether to add a new sport to the winter program will likely be decided at the IOC session scheduled next July in Durban, South Africa, when the next host city will be chosen.
