Thorkildsen supports Beijing’s bid

World best javelin thrower Andreas Thorkildsen has announced his support for Beijing’s bid to host the IAAF World Championships in 2015.
Thorkildsen is the Olympic javelin Gold Medallist of 2008 and was quoted in a press release: “I really do hope that the Bird’s Nest – an excellent and state-of-the-art venue – will once again see such a high-class Athletics event, I’m absolutely certain that Beijing and China with its’ hospitable people will be wonderful hosts and knowledgeable organisers in 2015 – as they were in 2008”.
