2009 European Junior long jump champion Aleksandr Menkov set a season best and a personal best at the Siberian FD Indoor Championships held in Omsk.
Menkov achieved 8.17m in the men’s long jump bettering his PB by 1cm. Olesya Syryeva won the women’s 1500m (4:08.93) and the women’s 3000m (8:52.90). Anton Lyuboslavskiy won the men’s shot put - 19.22m/ Svetlana Topilina won the women’s 60mH clocking 8.25 seconds. Oksana Starostina won the women’s high jump clearing 1.85m.
Aydar Gilyazaov won the men’s 60m clocking 7.89 at the Volga FD Indoor Championships.
Aleksandr Menkov, Olesya Syryeva and Aydar Gilyazov will compete at the 20th edition of the Russian Winter to be held on 6 February 2011 in Moscow.
