Svetlana Feofanova preparing for World Indoors in Moscow

Olympic Silver Medalist and World Champion Svetlana Feofanova assisted at a press-conference for the 11th IAAF World Indoor Championships held in Moscow on 9 January.
As she said, the past year was not lost on her. She was continuing her training and reconditioning. “If I had even competed at the last year’s World Championships in Helsinki I could win a medal”, said Svetlana.
Answering a question, “where do you prefer to perform, at home or abroad”, she said, “The holding of the World Indoors in Moscow has its pluses and minuses for me. At home, there is more responsibility. Afterwards, you win abroad, return home as a World champion and hide. It is impossible at home”.
Svetlana Feofanova plans to compete at 2006 Russian Indoor Championships on 16 February in Moscow and then at Norwich Union Indoor Grand Prix on 18 February in Birmingham.
